- Kylian Mbappe has reportedly resolved differences with French team-mates
- The star had clashed with Adrien Rabiot and Oliver Giroud around Euro 2020
- Mbappe is claimed to have cut a ‘disenchanted figure’ at Paris Saint-Germain
- PSG may consider a sale next summer to avoid losing Mbappe on a free transfer
Kylian Mbappe has reportedly found harmony within the French national team amid ongoing uncertainty over his club future with Paris Saint-Germain, as the French champions consider whether to cash in on the forward next summer.
Mbappe’s relationship with French team-mates had reportedly suffered around Euro 2020, including Adrien Rabiot and Oliver Giroud.
The French camp in Qatar is now more harmonious, according to The Athletic, with Mbappe embracing Rabiot after the midfielder scored the equalising goal in the 4-1 group stage win over Australia.

Mbappe set up Giroud’s record equalling goal as the forward became France’s joint top scorer
Rabiot’s mother Veronique had been involved in a heated confrontation with Mbappe’s family at Euro 2020 last year, after the forward’s missed penalty saw France crash out of the tournament to Switzerland in the last 16.
She was reported to have told Mbappe’s dad to ‘reframe his son and make him less arrogant’, while claiming the forward’s penalty was ’embarrassing’.
Mbappe had also reportedly been talked out of holding a press conference after being enraged by comments made by Olivier Giroud during a friendly win prior to the tournament.
Giroud had claimed after a 3-0 win over Bulgaria that Didier Deschamps’ side could have linked up better up front and looked visibly annoyed at Mbappe in the second-half.

Mbappe told L’Équipe earlier this year that he had been initially impacted by the spat, but had then put aside their differences.
The improved relationship was highlighted when Mbappe heaped praise on Giroud following a Nations League match with Austria in September, where he claimed the veteran complimented his game.
Mbappe claimed Giroud allowed him to ‘move and go into space, whereas in ‘Paris it is different’.
The two forwards combined to impressive effect in France’s 4-1 win over Australia, where Mbappe provided the assist for Giroud’s second goal.
The strike saw the 36-year-old draw level with Thierry Henry’s record of 51 goals for France.
Mbappe has also scored three times in France’s two matches, as the holders booked their place in the last 16 with a match to spare.
The 23-year-old’s club future remains uncertain, with Mbappe reported to have been cut a ‘disenchanted’ figure at PSG, with the club claimed to be considering whether to sell the forward next summer for the ‘right price’.
Mbappe is reported to have found harmony with France compared to tensions with PSG
The French giants are unwilling to let Mbappe leave on a free transfer, a fate the club avoided in the summer when he signed a jaw-dropping £650,000-a-week contract, which appeared to end prolonged questions surrounding his future.
Mbappe’s contract was initially reported as an extension until 2025, although it emerged that his contract runs until 2024 with an option for a further year should both parties agree.
This would leave PSG in the position next summer of deciding whether to try to extend his contract or sell him, to avoid losing him for free at the end of his contract.

Mbappe has reportedly asked to leave the club already, after he was seemingly left feeling let down by the club’s owners, a claim he has publicly denied.
Real Madrid have a long-standing interest in Mbappe, having submitted a final bid of £154million for the Ligue 1 star in 2021, before seeking to secure his signature on a free transfer last summer.
Mbappe has scored 190 goals in 237 games for PSG since joining from Monaco in 2017.
The star has found the net 19 times in his 20 appearances this season.
