England’s two new kits for the winter World Cup in Qatar have been leaked online – and one of them is already proving to be highly controversial.
Gareth Southgate’s men are gearing up for their first crack at a major trophy since last year’s devastating defeat in the Euro 2020 final, when they were beaten on penalties by Italy at Wembley.
The Three Lions will get their World Cup campaign up and running against Iran on November 21, before taking on the USA four days later and rivals Wales on November 29.
During their bid to become world champions, England will be donning two new kits in the Middle East, with kit manufacturers Nike set to unveil their latest designs ahead of the tournament.

But the away design, modelled by Phil Foden, has received plenty of praise on social media
Pictures of the strips have already been leaked online, but the home shirt has not gone down well with fans.
In an attempt to emulate England’s famous 1996 jersey, Nike have combined their traditional white colour with a controversial sky blue and navy shoulder pattern, which has sparked anger on social media.
The colours are also repeated on the sleeve cuffs and socks, while the navy shorts boast a sky blue trim.
Fans quickly took to Twitter to blast Nike’s design for this year’s World Cup, with one posting: ‘Shocking, never been a fan of England using blue – our kit should only be using red & white (our flag)’.

Fans hit out at the home design on Twitter, but the away number earned contrasting reviews
Another said: ‘If that’s England’s new home kit… @nikefootball need 2 hold there heads in shame!! It’s woeful’.
A third commented: ‘New England home kit looking like a sports direct special’.
While one quipped: ‘New England home kit looks like a Tottenham kit with and England badge sown on’.
However, England’s new away strip for this year’s tournament has received a more positive reaction online.
Another throwback design, this time evoking memories from Euro 92, Nike has opted for a predominantly red shirt which features the famous navy collar used by Umbro back in the early 90s.
Though instead, the collar appears to have a light blue trim instead of white, a colour which is repeated on the England badge and Nike logo.

The majority of fans are delighted with the away number, insisting Nike have got it right with the classic red design.
One posted: ‘How can you create an awful home shirt and yet one of the most beautiful away ones at the same time? This red 1990s inspired kit is a belter of a shirt for England in the next World Cup in Qatar’.
Another wrote: ‘When Kane lifts the trophy it better be in the red kit not that other monstrosity’.
Yet not all supporters were impressed, with one saying: ‘2 of the worst england kits of all time’.
While another commented: ‘Both England kits are absolutely dreadful. Can’t believe Harry Kane is going to lift the World Cup wearing one of them monstrosities’.
