Eden Hazard has finally fulfilled his promise to Real Madrid and returned for pre-season in ‘perfect condition’, according to reports in Spain.
The winger has had three off-seasons of ‘getting carried away’ and returning up to five kilos overweight amid huge struggles with injury and fitness.Â
But as reported by Marca, the £150million star is now in tip-top shape, impressing the club and manager Carlo Ancelotti, who plans on using him more next season.

Hazard, now 31, was widely seen as one of the best players in the world after seven successful seasons at Chelsea, culminating in a 21-goal campaign in 2018-19 which saw him earn a move to Real in a deal worth a huge £150m.Â
But the 120-cap international’s penchant for completely blowing his diet in between seasons resulted in him often coming back overweight, exacerbating his fitness and injury issues.
He has failed to lock down a regular starting place and has only scored six goals in all competitions across his three years at the club – the same as his lowest total in a single campaign while at Chelsea.Â

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is said to be pleased with Hazard’s condition this summer
The Belgian said himself: ‘I’m not going to hide it, but when I’m on vacation, I’m on vacation.Â
‘I had put on five kilos, I’m the type to put on quickly and lose so quickly if I’m careful.’
Hazard then promised Real fans he would give everything to be a success at the club after lifting the Champions League trophy in May.
And he has seemingly made good on that promise with the club reportedly pleasantly surprised by the former Lille player returning in the best shape of his Bernabeu career.
Italian boss Ancelotti was also said to be impressed by Hazard’s form in his first training session – and is thought to be considering salvaging the player’s career by using him as a ‘false nine’ to manage Karim Benzema’s workload.
