Cadiz defender Carlos Akapo has posted a gruesome picture of his bruised and bloodied foot that he sustained after a reckless tackle from Eden Hazard, leaving him with two broken metatarsal bones.
Former Chelsea star Hazard caught the Equatoguinean centre back while going for the ball, with the nasty tackle drawing blood from the top of Akapo’s foot and forcing him to limp off in the 75th minute of Cadiz’s 1-1 draw with Real Madrid.
Akapo took to social media shortly after to show off the wound left by the tackle before later revealing that he has broken his second and third metatarsal bones as a result.

Alongside the picture of his bloodied foot, Akapo posted a picture of an X-ray that showed the two broken bones.
He wrote on Twitter: ‘Thanks to the people who have cared, my second and third metatarsals are broken. Now it’s time to recover and die next weekend.’
The 29-year-old also questioned why Hazard was only booked for the tackle that could leave him on the sidelines for a number of months, as he posted a emoji of a doubtful face along with a yellow square.
Cadiz manager Sergio also described Hazard’s tackle as ugly but remained unsure whether it warranted a red card or not.

Akapo confirmed on Twitter after the game he has broken the second and third metatarsals
The 29-year-old appeared to question the referee’s decision to only book Hazard for the tackle with a doubtful face emoji and yellow square alongside the picture of his bloodied and bruised foot on Twitter
He said: ‘He has a strong injury, the action is ugly, I don’t know if it’s red or not.’
It is not yet known how long the injury will keep Akapo out for but he will surely miss Cadiz’s last game of the season against Alaves on Sunday.
Cadiz are currently in the relegation zone, level on points with 16th-place Mallorca who boast a superior goal difference.
Hazard, who has been restricted to just 22 appearances this season, was making his return from an injury lay-off before making the tackle just 10 minutes after coming on as a second-half substitute.
Despite his time at Real being a massive disappointment, Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that the Belgium international is set to stay at the club next season.
Hazard has struggled since joining Los Blancos for £100million from Chelsea for a blockbuster fee of in the summer of 2019.

Real boss Ancelotti has seemingly shut down those rumours, by confirming: ‘Eden Hazard will stay here at Real Madrid next season.
