Tottenham seal double move for Juventus duo Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski with Swedish winger signing on loan as Spurs FINALLY make Antonio Conte’s first signings
- Tottenham have signed Juventus duo Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentancur
- Spurs had waited until deadline day to do their first deal of the January window
- They saw moves for Adama Traore and Luis Diaz fall through in a frustrating spell
Tottenham have sealed a deadline day double move for Juventus duo Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski – with the latter arriving on loan.
The Serie A giants announced the news on their official Twitter account in separate posts, writing ‘thanks for everything and good luck’ on each one, with Spurs following up on their own account.
The confirmation from Juventus means Spurs have finally sealed their first business of the window after seeing a handful of targets escape their clutches – with boss Antonio Conte frustrated by the failure to sign Adama Traore and Luis Diaz.

The news will be a huge relief to Spurs boss Antonio Conte, who was frustrated by failed deals
The pair arrive at Spurs having rubbed shoulders with some of the best talent in football and their winning mentality will be a huge boost to boss Antonio Conte, who has been desperate to freshen up his squad.
Kulusevski’s deal will be an 18-month loan with the option to make the move permanent for £30million in the summer. The Swedish star had only signed for the Old Lady in 2020 after making a big impression at Parma, and still managed 74 appearances and nine goals during his first two campaigns.
Bentancur, meanwhile, joins on a four-year contract after a successful spell in Turin that saw him win five trophies – including three straight Serie A titles, making a total of 181 appearances.

Conte had been left frustrated by the lack of signings this month – with his side suffering a difficult run of form that saw them go out of the Carabao Cup semi-finals against Chelsea, as their lack of depth became apparent.
Uruguayan international Bentancur will come in as a direct replacement for £63m record signing Tanguy Ndombele, who has rejoined his old side Lyon on loan.
The Frenchman failed to make an impression on his manager and it is likely that Bentancur will be a much better fit for Conte’s system.
