Glen Kamara’s lawyer calls for Ondrej Kudela to be banned for a YEAR and Slavia Prague DISQUALIFIED from the Europa League after police launch investigation into alleged racial abuse of Rangers midfielder
Glen Kamara’s lawyer has called for Ondrej Kudela to be banned for a year and Slavia Prague disqualified from the Europa League after police confirmed they are investigating events that unfolded during the clash with Rangers at Ibrox last Thursday.
Police confirmed on Tuesday they are investigating racist abuse reported by Rangers midfielder Kamara during his team’s Europa League defeat by Slavia Prague.
Police Scotland announced they were looking into the incident 24 hours after confirming that they were investigating a criminal complaint filed by Slavia against Kamara.

Kamara said he was the victim of ‘vile, racist abuse’ by Slavia player Kudela during last Thursday’s game at Ibrox, with the Rangers midfielder accusing his opponent of calling him a ‘f****** monkey’.
A statement issued by solicitor Aamer Anwar on behalf of Kamara said: ‘Glen welcomes the police investigation into the racist abuse of him by Mr. Kudela.
‘Police Scotland officers will now require to question Mr. Kudela, when he returns next month to play Arsenal on April 8.

‘There can be no justification for Mr. Kudela’s deeply offensive, provocative and racist language in a game of football taking place in 2021.
‘A UEFA investigation is now also underway with which Glen will be fully cooperating.
‘Article 14 of UEFA disciplinary regulations gives UEFA the power to take robust disciplinary action against Mr. Kudela if he is found guilty.
‘On this occasion a ban of 10 matches for Mr. Kudela will not suffice, he should at the very least be banned for a minimum of one year and Slavia Prague who remain in denial should face consequences, including deduction of points and/or disqualification from the competition.’

The tie was marred by a bust-up between both sides after Kamara claimed he was racially abused by the Czech centre back during a heated game that saw Rangerss reduced to nine men.
Slavia officials have defended Kudela, claiming he was ‘cowardly beaten with fists in the face by Kamara’ in the tunnel after the full time whistle, with the player himself denying any racist abuse and insisting he told the player he was ‘a f***ing guy’.
A police statement read: ‘We can confirm we are investigating incidents of alleged racial abuse and a reported assault following the match between Rangers and Slavia Prague at Ibrox on Thursday, 18 March, 2021.

‘Officers are liaising with both clubs and enquiries are continuing.’
Slavia alleged Kamara assaulted Kudela after the game, which saw the Czech league leaders win 2-0 to set up a quarter-final against Arsenal.
They filed a criminal complaint through the Czech Embassy and stated they were in direct contact with police in Glasgow.
The racism allegations have since been lodged with police.
